I am happy to have family in Chicago... but am grateful not to live there anymore! I love that city like it's an old friend... she changes, she grows, but in some ways, you know her... you know what to expect, what she'll say when, how she'll respond. I like this about Chicago.
But I don't like the snow. the winter. the ice. the wind. I'm happy to be a transplanted Texan! I am pleased that there's nothing to shovel, no driveway to clear! It's great to have flowers in December and warm breezes in February. I'll keep my Texas... but I will visit you often, Chicago! You are my friend.
